#LGBTElders | SAGE Launches Storytellers Competition to Raise Awareness

Services and Advocacy for Gay and lesbian, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Elders

SAGE, the world’ s largest LGBTQ advocacy corporation, launched a nationwide storytelling competition in the US to raise awareness about LGBT seniors and consciousness regarding the resided narratives and needs of our elders. SAGE has already begun posting articles on both their YouTube and Podomatic channels. The voting period runs from November 7 to November 21, 2013, and the contest winner will receive a good Amazon gift certificate and globally recognition for their story .

Official Rules: Enter the SAGE Storytelling Contest

SAGE wants to know more about your family, buddies, community, and what they mean for you. We want to know about a time when you may have felt alone but found an association that sustained you. Or maybe a time when you built a circle associated with support for yourself or for someone else in need.

Show: What does “community” mean to you? How do you stay connected to the people who matter the majority of to you? Stories connect us—share your own today.

Competition Rules

Distribution to the SAGE Story contest is going to be accepted until 5: 00 p. m. EST on November six, 2013.

One entry per person.

SAGE accepts written stories, as well as video, photo, and podcast submissions; observe submission form for suggested term count and/or file size.

SAGE retains the right to run story submissions on our site. Copyright continues to be with the author/storyteller.

SAGE will select the top entries and post them on our SAGE Story site. Visitors will vote on the favorite to determine the winner.

The voting period can run from November 7 in order to November 21, 2013

The champion will receive a $50 Amazon present certificate!
