First national LGBT History Festival speaks bi

lgbthm This weekend Manchester is certainly hosting the first ever national festival focused on exploring, exposing, and discussing lesbian, gay, bisexual, and trans (LGBT) history.

The Festival is over five days, and will be at Manchester Central Library’ s Archives+, the People’ ersus History Museum, and many venues throughout Manchester. It includes presentation of new analysis into LGBT history, LGBT rendering in film and comics with a German film retrospective and an open discussion about comic books. This is a sister event to The 2nd What Is & How To Do LGBT History Research Conference, a free academic conference on LGBT history.

You can find two presentations of bisexual interest.

After Oscar: The Life of Olive Custance, wife of Lord Alfred Douglas ” will be presented simply by Sarah Parker, Impact Research Many other at University of Stirling, through 2pm – 2 . 30pm on Saturday 14th, at the LGBT Center on Sidney Street. (details here)
