A fighter for equality gets her due Rep. Suzan DelBene to receive Seattle Women’s Pride Crusader Award

Suzan DelBene (WA-1) will receive the Seattle Women’s Pride Crusader Award at their third annual gala on Saturday, June 18. The Crusader Award honors a high-ranking official who utilizes their power for positive change in the lives of the underserved. DelBene, a Democrat, represents Washington’s First Congressional District, which spans from northeast King County to the Canadian border, including parts of King, Snohomish, Skagit, and Whatcom counties. Last year, she was appointed to serve on President Obama’s Export Council, an advisory committee on international trade. She also serves as co-chair of the New Democrat Coalition’s 21st Century Job Skills Working Group as well as the Congressional Women’s High Tech Caucus, Internet of Things Caucus, Trademark Caucus, and Aluminum Caucus. ‘It’s truly an honor t
